Meet Jazz our New Puppy
Jazz is a Miniature Longhair Dachshund. She's called a red piebald. They refer to piebald when the Doxie is white with another color. She was born on Christmas Eve of 2007. We picked her out of a litter of two when she was 7 weeks old. We excitedly waited another week before she came home with us. Here are pictures when she was still with the breeder at 7 weeks. I took a pink blankie and camera because I was quite certain that she was the "one". She weighs 3 3/4 pounds at 8 weeks.

Jazz at 10 weeks.
Her body, legs and nose are getting longer. She's crate trained and trained to "Go-Go" outside. We take her outside ever 1 1/2 hours unless she's in her crate. She now weighs 3 3/4 pounds. The Vet told me that she was the smallest Doxie he has ever seen. He estimated that she will grow to be 8 pounds. This means she may be a Toy. She loves her brother Ben and he's starting to like her too. Here are pictures at 10 weeks.
